The dawn of Greenmarkets in NYC was 30 years ago when 12 farmers set up shop in a parking lot on 59th Street and 2nd Avenue.  Today there are over 50 markets in NYC representing nearly 250 local farmers and fishermen and women.  For a full list of Greenmarkets around town, check out the GrowNYC website and search by neighborhood. Please let me know if there is a market in your neighborhood that I should not miss.
